Transaction Observations and InjuriesAs noted last week some top players were dropped after owners lost their hope of recovery. Andy MacDonald and Brendan Shanahan were quickly scooped up on the WW. A very active week, a few key players added were, Jeff Carter, Matt Cullen, Bill Guerin and none more key as of now than Patrick Kane. Kane’s value has skyrocked as he has put up 9 points in his past 3 games.
This week in RHL HistoryDid you know on this week back in 2006 the G-Town Blues (now the Sarnia Colts) tied an RHL record with only 1G, a record the China Town Jets set twice in the 2003 season.
The G-Town Blues enjoyed a successful inaugural season making the RHL playoffs with a 74-70-17 record for 165 points. They were quickly dismissed in the 1st round by the Oakville Red Wings, but toppled the Chamhammers to finish the playoffs in 5th place. And now you know.

In the top story this week, The Thrashers placed goalie Kari Lehtonen on the injured list Friday after he hurt his groin in Atlanta's first win of the season.
The previous night, Lehtonen left a 5-3 victory over the New York Rangers with 8 1/2 minutes left in the first period. The team said he strained his groin, but in a different area than a similar injury that kept him out for more than two months in 2005.
