BREAKING NEWS!
The Vancouver Islanders fold. General Manager Tom Gierasimczuk released the following official statement:
"I'm out this year. Last year was fun, but I quickly found out that going to bed hoping Johan Holmqvist was dropped by some guy in Sudbury so I could pick him up in the morning wasn't too healthy. Damn my addictive personality.Good luck. Don't pick Eric Staal or Wade Redden."
Rumours are already circulating as to who will purchase the new franchise, and where it will be located. Unfortunately, Canadian billionaire and RIM CEO Jim Balsille has yet to make an offer. Both Hamilton and Kitchener would be welcome additions to the RHL. There has also been some interest from Alliston Ontario. Check back here for any breaking news.
