The Peterborough Mullets hope that a logo update will maybe give them a boost and contend for the cup this year. The last two seasons have been less than impressive finishing 5th in 2005, and 7th in 2006. Throw in their franchise best 3rd place in a 10 team league during it's infancy, and you are left looking at a very startling and steady decline. The Mullets will wear their original logo on their shoulders and will utilize it for an alternate jersey for several match ups against "Original Seven" franchises this season, such as the Oakville Red Wings, who released this statement earlier today:
"I'm not going to say anything about the Mullets, because he (GM Shane Scanlan) is too sensitive"
